The North Mercer Cardinals claimed the 2017 High School Holiday Hoops Sportsmanship Award among the 56 boys’ teams participating in the annual event. The award was presented on Friday night to the Cardinals and Coach Jeff Wyatt during Homecoming activities and a home ball game with East Harrison.
Recognized for outstanding sportsmanship displayed by the team, coaching staff and fans, the North Mercer boys received the award for the first time. The selection was made by game officials, hosts and committee members of Holiday Hoops and sponsored by Ron Dougan and Promotional Concepts.
Presenting the award to the Cardinals was Hoops Director Steve Maxey and Hoops Committee Member Steve Perry.
