Six Midland Empire Conference squads make up the seven team Class 3, District 8 softball tournament to be played in St. Joseph, starting with three first-round matchups on Thursday, October 12th. Chillicothe, the MEC champion, earned the top seed and a first-round bye.
First round games on Thursday will be #4 seed St. Joseph Lafayette against Cameron at 5 o’clock, with #2 seed Savannah playing Richmond at the same time at an adjacent facility on the same site. At 7 o’clock, #3 seed St. Joseph Benton plays Maryville.
Chillicothe will play the Lafayette vs. Cameron winner on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, followed by the second semifinal at 12 noon. Â
The Class 3, District 8 championship game will be played at 5:30 PM on Monday, October 16th.
