The Maysville Lady Wolverines hammered Polo on Wednesday night, in a make-up game in the Grand River Conference softball race, winning by a final tally of 10-0.
Sadie Smith went the five inning complete game for Maysville, shutting out Polo on only two hits, striking out six batters. Emily Brown got the Lady Wolverine offense going early with a two-run single in the first inning. Ashton Willis added a pair of hits for Maysville, keeping the Wolverines one game back of the GRC leading Putnam County Midgets. Rylee Boyer had a 3-for-3 night for Maysville, with MHS going spotless, without an error, in the field.
Mallory Clevenger took the loss for Polo, with four innings of work, allowing nine runs on ten hits with one strikeout.
