A high school senior from Slidell, Louisiana, Ishmael Burdine, has given a verbal commitment to the football program at the University of Missouri. Burdine is a three-star prospect, rated as the top safety in the state of Louisiana.
The 6-foot-1, 175 pounder chose Barry Odom’s program over 19 other offers, including Wisconsin and Mississippi State. In 13 verbal commitments for Mizzou in the Class of 2019, Burdine is the third-highest ranked, per 247 Sports.
