Lawson opens week with lopsided win over Trenton

The Lawson Cardinals allowed the first run of Tuesday night’s baseball test against the Trenton Bulldogs, before roaring back with 14 unanswered tallies, winning by a 14-1 run-rule shortened final at Lawson High School.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the first inning, with Gabe Novak coming across the plate.  Lawson quickly answered with a pair of two spots, in the home 1st and 2nd innings, before blowing the game open with five runs in the 3rd and five more in the 4th.  

Cole had five RBI’s for LHS, with leadoff hitter Chapman going 3-for-3 with four runs scored and four RBI’s.
