St. Joseph Benton High School senior Cheyenne Jackson has signed a letter of intent with Head Coach Steve Richman and the softball program at North Central Missouri College in Trenton.

Jackson becomes the latest northwest Missouri product to sign with Richman, who took over the reigns of the softball program last spring, after resigning as coach of the men’s basketball program at NCMC.  Cheyenne gave a verbal commitment to NCMC following a campus visit on Wednesday, February 1st, signing in a ceremony at the Benton gymnasium just over a week later.

As a senior with the Lady Cardinals, Jackson hit .394 with 5 home runs, 19 RBI’s, six doubles, and 27 hits.  Defensively, Cheyenne is described as both “athletic” and “possessing multi-positional skills” that should benefit the Lady Pirates program for the next two years.
