The North Central Missouri College women steadily pulled away from a stout squad of JV Vikings from Missouri Valley College, winning on Thursday night by a score of 91-71 at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.
Four of the five Lady Pirate starters were in double figures, with sophomore guard Kendey Eaton leading the way with 21 points. Maddie Book hit 3 of 4 three-point shots, adding 18 points in a superb performance, with Sarah Lamp scoring 17, and Samm Jett. Five Lady Pirate bench players combined for 18 points, led by Nicole Kost’s seven.
The Lady Pirates, ranked #14 in the country in NJCAA Division Two, will play another JV squad from Missouri Valley on Monday night at 5:30 in Marshall. A highly important home test with Region 16 rival Penn Valley will be Wednesday night at 5 o’clock, with coverage from the Ketcham Community Center beginning at 4:45 on Hot Country Z 101.7. The win over Missouri Valley improves NCMC to 14-4 on the season.
