The Chillicothe Lady Hornets are on top of the Midland Empire Conference mountain, completing a perfect 7-0 run through the regular season with a 58-28 win at Cameron on Tuesday night.
Whitney Clampitt led Chillicothe with 22 points. Â Hannah Jones had a complimentary 19 for the Lady Hornets, now 23-2 overall in the 2016-2017 season.
In the boys game, the Hornets won at Cameron, 69-42, finishing MEC play with a 4-3 record, while moving to 14-11 overall. Â Jack Willard had a spectacular game for CHS, putting in 29 points, including seven 3-point field goals. Â Adler Marshall added 11 for Chillicothe.
