The Chillicothe Lady Hornets grabbed a victory at Trenton High School in volleyball action on Monday night, taking a straight-sets varsity triumph by scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-9.
For Trenton, Jacole Simpson had three aces and nine assists, with Alexis Bonnett adding eight digs, and Mackenzie Whipple six kills.
Chillicothe won the JV battle 21-25, 25-14, 25-22, and the C team matchup 25-11, 25-14.
Trenton coach Brad Ewald told KTTNSports.com, “We ran into a very good Chillicothe team. That being said, it was a frustrating night for the Bulldogs. We struggled to do things in our control early and struggled to execute our jobs late. The girls are working hard though, and this is the kind of inconsistency with comes with inexperience. Hopefully we will put this one behind us and put the pieces together against the Lathrop Mules on Tuesday night.”
