Lady Cardinals continue February rampage, setting up district final doubleheader with Worth County

North Harrison High School will host two district finals, on back-to-back nights, featuring the North Mercer Cardinals and the Worth County Tigers. The boy’s District 14 championship game will be played at 6:30 on Friday night, with the girls title tilt on Saturday night at 6:30, both to be covered live on KTTN FM 92.3.

The Mercer Lady Cardinals continue to play like the #1 ranked team in the state, drilling Gilman City on Thursday night, 93-22.  The second girls semifinal from Eagleville was much more intense, as the host North Harrison Lady Shamrocks fell in double overtime to the Worth County Lady Tigers, 54-50.

The Class 1, District 14 champions will advance to play in the sectional round of the Class 1 playoffs on Tuesday afternoon at the St. Joseph Civic Arena, with the boys game at 3 o’clock (against either Winston or Braymer) followed by the girls contest at 4:45 (against either Southwest Livingston or Orrick).
