The Kansas City Royals announced their home game times for the 2025 regular season schedule on Monday morning.
The 57th season in franchise history will begin Thursday, March 27, at 3:10 p.m. CT against the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium, marking the earliest Opening Day in franchise history.
The opening series will continue Saturday, March 29, at 3:10 p.m. CT and Sunday, March 30, at 1:10 p.m. CT.
The Royals will host 36 weeknight games starting at 6:40 p.m. CT, with all seven Friday night home games from May 30 to Aug. 29 beginning at 7:10 p.m. CT. Six of the 14 Saturday home games will start at 3:10 p.m. CT, and eight will start at 6:10 p.m. CT. All 14 Sunday home games are scheduled for 1:10 p.m. CT.
There are 10 weekday afternoon games, including eight games starting at 1:10 p.m. Exceptions include Opening Day (March 27) and Memorial Day (May 26), both starting at 3:10 p.m.
Kansas City’s final regular season home game will be Sunday, Sept. 21, against the Toronto Blue Jays, followed by a six-game road trip to conclude the 162-game slate.
For the third consecutive season, Major League Baseball will continue its balanced schedule, featuring the Royals playing all 29 other teams. The 162-game schedule includes 52 games against American League Central teams, 62 against American League East and West teams and 48 interleague games.
The Royals will play their intra-state rival St. Louis Cardinals in three games at Kauffman Stadium from May 16-18 and three games at Busch Stadium from June 3-5.
Kansas City will play three games against each of the other 14 National League teams, with seven three-game home series and seven three-game road series. In July, the Royals will play 18 of 24 games against NL opponents.
The Royals’ holiday schedule includes hosting the Red Sox on Mother’s Day (May 11), the Reds on Memorial Day (May 26) and the Athletics on Father’s Day (June 15).
The All-Star break will run from July 14-17, featuring the 95th Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 15 at Truist Park.
Kansas City will host two three-opponent homestands and embark on two three-city road trips.
