The Kansas State Wildcat basketball team will take on the Pac-12’s Oregon State Beavers in the 2020 Cayman Islands Classic on November 23rd at 1:30.  The meeting, the first between the programs since 2003, was to be played in the Cayman Islands, but due to the ongoing pandemic, will be moved to the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida.

KSU and OSU will be one of four quarterfinals to be played in the event, with the winner advancing to play either the University of Mississippi or LaSalle University in the semifinal round.  The four teams on the opposite side of the bracket will be the Miami Hurricanes, Nevada Wolf Pack, Northern Iowa Panthers, and the University of Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The Wildcats opponent, Oregon State, finished 8th in the Pac-12 Conference a season ago, but has been mildly successful during the seven-year tenure of coach Wayne Tinkle, with 93 overall victories.
