Deuce Vaughn rushed for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns, with Adrian Martinez passing with 101 yards and running for another score, as the Kansas State Wildcats beat former Big 12 rival Missouri 40-12 on Saturday from Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.

The unbeaten (2-0) Wildcats intercepted Tiger quarterback Brady Cook twice in the second half, with Jack Abraham coming in for a pair of series, only to have KSU picked off two more passes, forcing Cook back into the contest by the fourth quarter, with Mizzou down 33-6 by that point.

Cook was 15 of 27 for 128 yards in a game played under light rain that quickly turned into a downpour, with an hour delay in the first half making an otherwise miserable day for the Tigers even worse.

MU head coach Eliah Drinkwitz says the Tigers need work in all three phases following Saturday’s humbling defeat:

Missouri’s only touchdown came from Truman State transfer running back Cody Schrader, on the final play of the game.  Mizzou returns home this Saturday for a non-conference contest against Abilene Christian.
