The Chillicothe Lady Hornets swept the Trenton Lady Bulldogs in a high school volleyball battle on Thursday night in the CHS gymnasium. Behind 11 kills, five aces, and 10 assists from Elli Ross, the Hornets took a straight sets 25-22, 25-9 victory over THS. Â Ruthie Vinson added 11 kills for the winning side.
In the JV matchup, Chillicothe took a 25-2, 25-15 win, while the Hornets won the freshman encounter, 25-9, 25-7. Â
Starting the season 0-3, the Trenton varsity now gets ready for the Bulldog home opener, Monday night against the Penney Lady Hornets, a three-set loser to Plattsburg in KCI Conference play on Thursday.
The Bulldog volleyballers travel to Plattsburg on Tuesday, and host Carrollton on Thursday of next week.
