Tamar Bates, a rising senior standout from Piper High School in Kansas City, Kansas, has narrowed his list of collegiate destinations to seven, a group that includes the University of Missouri, the University of Kansas, and Iowa State University.
Bates is a 6-foot-5 inch wing player that is also very much on the radar of the Creighton Blue Jays, a Big East program from Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to MU, KU, Iowa State, and Creighton, Bates has kept Texas, Oregon, and Alabama in his considerations.
Rivals ranks Bates are the #83 overall prospect nationally in the Class of 2021, with 247Sports ranking him a bit lower, at #113, with both services considering him a four-star recruit. For his senior season, Bates plans to move away from Piper, and play at prestigious IMG Academy in Florida.
