High school football polls set up Top-10 matchups in Gower, Maryville

The Missouri media have released the 11-man and 8-man football polls for Week #4 of the season, with unbeaten Penney High School of Hamilton and East Buchanan High School of Gower both ranked in the Class 1 Top 10, ahead of their head-to-head meeting this week.  Penney is ranked #6 and East Buchanan #7.

Meanwhile, the top matchup in the Midland Empire Conference will see a battle of ranked foes, as 3-0 St. Pius X has the #5 ranking in Class 3, while a victory last week at Chillicothe has Maryville back in the Class 2 rankings, with the Spoofhounds at #10.
