Trenton High School is set to host a three-team high school football jamboree on Friday night, featuring South Harrison High School and Lexington High School at C.F. Russell Stadium. Originally scheduled for Carrollton, the event was relocated due to the Trojans’ cancellation, following a tragic incident this week within that school community.
Admission for Friday night’s jamboree will be $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, and senior citizens will be admitted for free.
During the scrimmage sessions, offensive possessions will start from the 40-yard line. Each team will have 18 plays on both offense and defense against one another.
Trenton will participate in the first and third scrimmage sessions, facing Lexington to begin the night and South Harrison to conclude it. Lexington and South Harrison will compete in the middle scrimmage, playing toward the east end zone.
Meanwhile, Milan High School will also hold a three-team jamboree on Friday night, accompanied by a tailgate supper sponsored by Smithfield Foods. The supper will offer pulled pork, hot dogs, chips, and a choice of water or soda pop. The dinner’s pricing is flexible, with the proceeds benefiting the Milan Booster Club. Milan will host Penney High School Hornets of Hamilton and the Putnam County Midgets, starting at 7 o’clock.
Princeton High School will participate in its first eight-man jamboree at Keytesville, beginning at 7 o’clock. The school bus will depart from the Princeton campus at 4 o’clock. Princeton will engage in scrimmages against Northwest (Hughesville) and Southwest Livingston, followed by a matchup with Keytesville. Admission costs will be $3.00 for individuals and $5.00 for families or carloads. Concessions will also be available on site.
