The North Harrison Lady Shamrocks, coming off a regular season and tournament championship season in the HDC Conference, dominated this week’s All-Conference softball selections, with six of the 13 girls on the first team hailing from the Eagleville school. Juniors Emma Craig, Rainey Fordyce, and Carly Rinehart were all named in unanimous fashion, as were Mercer freshman Kaydee Hill, Tri-County sophomore Carly Turner, Gilman City junior Lindsey Snuffer, and East Harrison senior Camie Vaughn.
The rest of the all-conference squad consists of North Harrison junior Kami Gibson, senior Ashlynn Gilpatrick, and freshman Jayleigh Robins, Mercer freshman Jordan Coon, Winston sophomore Madi Beaty, and Grundy R-5 junior Abigail Matthews.
The honorable mention selections for All-HDC status have three girls off the Tri-County Lady Mustangs, with junior Rikki Cook, and sophomores Kiera Huskey and Anissa Williams on the squad, joined by Mercer freshman Rainey Michael and senior Aubrey Wilson, the Winston duo of junior Teagan Caldwell and freshman Kortny Estes, Grundy R-5 seniors Bri Carpio and Dorothy Mathews, and Gilman City sophomore Sidney Gibson.
North Harrison’s Brandon Craig was named the HDC Coach of the Year. North Harrison finished its season as the Class 1, District 15 runner-up, falling to the Princeton Tigers in Saturday night’s championship game 3-1.
