The North Harrison Lady Shamrocks, preparing for a Saturday trip to Maysville to play the Wolverines in a Class 1 softball quarterfinal, have been rewarded for their outstanding season by earning 8 of 13 spots on the All-HDC Conference first team.
From North Harrison, named to the squad are seniors Payton Craig, Brandy Rivet, and Audry Briggs; junior Mason Cracraft; sophomore Ashlynn Gilpatrick; and freshmen Emma Craig, Carly Rinehart, and Kami Gibson.
The remainder of the first team includes Grundy County R-5 sophomore Aubrey Gann, Mercer sophomore Aubrey Wilson, Winston junior Sophie Pliley, and Tri-County juniors Tanna Courter and Jadan Almond.
Four players were named All-HDC honorable mention, in Gilman City freshman Lindsey Snuffer and senior Megan Cottrell, Grundy County R-5 junior Emma Baxter, and North Harrison freshman Rainey Fordyce.
North Harrison High School’s Brandon Craig was named All-HDC Conference Coach of the Year.
