Penney High School (Hamilton, MO) golfer Sam Cornelius is the individual champion of the Lawson Invitational Tournament, with her 81 on Tuesday taking the crown by six strokes over the 87 of runner-up Molly Jones of Excelsior Springs, and the third-place tally of 88 from Ellie Smith of Lawson. Pleasant Hill, by tiebreak, won the team title with a score of 407. Excelsior Springs shot 407 and while Richmond, with 408, finished third.
