The Princeton Tigers, with 119 points, beat the runner-up tally of 97 points from Green City, to win the team title in the Class 1, District 7 boys track and field meet on Saturday. Â The Green City girls continued their dominant season with 173 points to roll to the District 7 title, with the Grundy R-5 Lady Panthers second with 68 points, followed by Southwest Livingston at 65. Â The Meadville boys tallied 93 points in a third-place finish.
The goal of individual athletes on Saturday was a top-four finish, earning a spot in this weekend’s Class 1, Section 4 track and field meet, bringing together the top-four finishers from both District 7 and 8. Â Chillicothe High School will host the Class 1, Section 4 meet this Saturday, May 13th.
