GRC and HDC announce all-conference softball selections

Postseason honors, for both conference and district honors, have been announced by a number of entities across the state of Missouri, including the Grand River Conference and HDC Conference.

The GRC separates first team, second team, and honorable mention selections into separate teams for its 8-team eastern and 6-team western divisions.  Maysville won the GRC East with a 6-0 record, and fell 6-5 in the championship game to west champion Stanberry.  In the final east standings, Polo was 5-2, South Harrison 4-3, with Putnam County and Princeton both 3-4, Gallatin 2-4, Milan 2-5, and Trenton 2-5.

Stanberry won the GRC West with a perfect 5-0 record, followed by King City and North Andrew, both at 3-2, Albany at 2-3, and Worth County and Pattonsburg with 1-4 conference marks.

From Trenton High School, Maci Moore and Chandler Lynch were named to the Class 2, District 6 first team, with Gracyn Rongey and Teya Cooksey named as second team selections.  Both Trenton and Milan bowed out of that tournament in the semifinal round, with Milan falling to Marceline and Trenton losing to Brookfield.  Named from Milan to the all-district first team was junior pitcher Cady Pauley, with Gracie Dickson and Avery Pickering collecting second-team status.  Gallatin put a quarterfinal scare into Brookfield before falling by a 6-5 final score in districts.  Caragan Baker was named a first-team all-district player for the Lady Bulldogs, with AnnaBelle Ball and Betty Rogers named to the second team.

Marceline won the District 6 championship, with six players named to the first-team all-district squad.  Those players are Ireland Bloss, Addison Huber, Ciarrah Bell, Sarah Kussman, Cassi Rodgers, and Gracey Jordan.  Emmy Smithhisler and Maisie Billups were named second teamers.  From Marceline, named to the Lewis and Clark Conference team, were first teamers Bell, Rodgers, and Bloss.  Jordan, Huber, and Billups were second team all-L and C with Kussman named third team.

Chillicothe finished second in Class 3, District 8 to eventual state finalist Savannah, with several Lady Hornets earned all-district honors.  Named first team from CHS were Kinlei Boley, Hope Helton, Sophia Luetticke, Mika Hibner, and Kirsten Dunn.  Halle Rucker, Mollie Ellis, and Brooke Horton were named to the second team.

The HDC Conference named its first-team and honorable mention softball teams.  Here is that list
