Three-team high school basketball jamborees will be held later this week in Gilman City (Friday night) and Mercer (Saturday morning), with Gilman City hosting Princeton and Maysville, while Mercer hosts Seymour (Iowa) and Albany.Â
The Gilman City gym will have basketball scrimmages starting at 5 o’clock on Friday evening, with the Gilman City girls hosting Maysville, with the Wolverines and Hawks playing in a boys scrimmage to follow.Â
The 6:15 sessions will see Princeton playing Maysville, with the girls playing first, followed by the boys contest. In the 7:30 session, the Gilman City girls play Princeton, followed by the boys scrimmage.Â
From Mercer on Saturday morning, action starts with a Mercer vs. Albany doubleheader, with the girls at 9 AM and boys at 9:30. At 10 o’clock, the Albany Lady Warriors play Seymour with the boys at 10:30. The jamboree ends with a Mercer vs. Seymour doubleheader, with the girls at 11 o’clock, and boys at 11:30. Â
Admission for the jamboree at Mercer will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.Â
