This week brings the annual run of the Gilman City Tournament, however, two straight days of ice, snow, and cold have postponed the event, with tournament organizers hopeful of, with the use of the Pattonsburg gym on Friday and Saturday, getting in the tournament by Saturday night.
The Gilman City girls have had difficulty scoring the basketball in 2019, although with a young Ladyhawks team, difficult competition in Green City, Tri-County, and North Harrison played a factor into those results.

Much like the Ladyhawks, the Gilman City boys are in the midst of a rebuilding season in 2018-2019, although the Hawks did pick up a 41-38 win at Tri-County two weeks ago. Since that game, Gilman City has a defeat against North Harrison, and two postponed games (against Breckenridge and Newtown-Harris).
