The Gilman City Ladyhawks will take on long-time rival Pattonsburg in Class 1, District 14 quarterfinal action tonight at 5:45 from North Harrison High School in Eagleville, with the winner advancing to the semifinal round (and a likely meeting with #1 ranked Mercer) on Thursday night.
The Ladyhawks lost to Mercer one week ago today, but bounced back with a three-point win at Albany on Thursday night, with superb play from Hailey Burrows, and timely outside shooting from Megan Cottrell leading the Gilman girls to a regular-season ending win.
The Gilman City coaches show, with Head Coach Adam Clark, will air between 3:30 and 4 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, February 21, 2017 on KTTN FM 92.3.
“The Adam Clark Show” (Gilman City Ladyhawks basketball):
The season came to an end on Monday night for the 7th-seeded Gilman City boys, with second-half fatigue playing a factor, as the Hawks lost a halftime lead in falling to the Worth County Tigers, 56-43. Â Despite the season-ending loss, hopes remain high for a Gilman program ascending, with only one senior set for graduation this spring, while a team showing increased ability, particularly on the offensive end, hoping for a good off-season.
Gilman City lost at Mercer 91-69 on Tuesday night (February 14th), before winning at Albany on Thursday, February 16th.
