Trenton High School’s Werthen Gass, one of three girls representing the Lady Bulldog golf team in a Tuesday afternoon dual at Brookfield, earned medalist honors in the Linn County event, shooting a round of nine-over par 46. That score bested by three strokes a pair of 49’s turned in by the host Lady ‘Dogs of Brookfield High School. Other Trenton scores on the afternoon were Maci Henson with a 65 and Oakley Madden with 67.
THS does have four players on the golf roster this fall, which is enough to post a team score, but for the Brookfield dual, only three of the players were eligible for Coach Travis Mullenix.
The Lady Bulldogs hosted Chillicothe and Putnam County on Wednesday night in the Trenton home opener for the ’17 fall season at Riverside Country Club.
