The Southeastern Conference has set game times and television networks for a highly-anticipated group of football games to be played for a three-day stretch, running from Thanksgiving to Saturday, November 25th. Included in the set of games will be the Alabama/Auburn “Iron Bowl” clash, Ole Miss and Mississippi State meeting in the “Egg Bowl”, and always spirited non-conference in-state battles like Florida/Florida State, Clemson/South Carolina, and Louisville/Kentucky.
As announced earlier this year, the Missouri Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks will be meeting on “Black Friday”, with the border rivals playing at Donald Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 1:30 on Friday, November 24th. The game will be televised by CBS and the Tiger Radio Network, with coverage on local affiliate KTTN FM 92.3 hitting the air at 11:30 that morning.
In Starkville, Mississippi, the Mississippi State Bulldogs host the Ole Miss Rebels in the “Egg Bowl” on Thanksgiving night at 6:30 on ESPN.
The rest of the ‘rivalry’ games are on Saturday, November 25th. The Georgia Bulldogs will be in Atlanta to take on bitter rival Georgia Tech. The kickoff will be either 11 AM or 7 PM, with ABC having the coverage. Florida State will play at Florida at 11 AM on ESPN, with the SEC Network in Lexington, where the Kentucky Wildcats host the Louisville Cardinals at 11 AM.
At 2:30 from Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama, the Tigers host the Alabama Crimson Tide, potentially for the SEC West title. The game will be televised by CBS.
At 3 o’clock, in-state rivals meet in Knoxville, where the Tennessee Volunteers play host to the Vanderbilt Commodores on the SEC Network. In the ‘other Columbia’, the South Carolina Gamecocks host Clemson at 6:30 on ESPN, while a budding border rivalry from Baton Rouge kicks at 6:30, with the LSU Tigers hosting the Texas A&M Aggies.
