The Gallatin Bulldogs are looking to build up interest in the program, and find extra wins on the scoreboard, leaning on their strengths and aiming to fix the struggling parts of the program, as former Assistant Coach Patrick Treece takes over the head coaching job in 2016, replacing Kevin Gundy.

Strengths of the Gallatin program are overall athleticism and defensive prowess. However, like so many that struggled to score points, the Bulldogs need to be better at the line of scrimmage.

Gallatin’s numbers have been untraditionally low in recent years, as only 27 young men are on the Bulldog roster in 2016. Here is Coach Treece:

Gallatin’s new coach discussed the Grand River Conference additions for 2016 and beyond:

The Bulldogs, after their Week #1 test at North Platte, host the Penney Hornets on August 26th, and the Maysville Wolverines on September 2nd.  Among the “new” GRC opponents for Gallatin, the Bulldogs play Putnam County, Milan, and Trenton in three of the final four weeks of the regular season, traveling to Milan on September 23rd and Putnam County on October 7th, while hosting the Trenton Bulldogs on October 14th.  A home test against Princeton is squeezed into Gallatin’s late-season schedule, for Friday, September 30th.
