Gallatin’s Garnett finishes 12th at PGA event in Boston

Former Gallatin Bulldog and Missouri Western Griffon Brice Garnett continued his summer surge on the professional golf links, shooting a four-day score of 274 to tie with Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, and Jordan Spieth for 12th place in the Dell Championships at TPC Boston.

Bryson DeChambeau won the event by two strokes over Justin Rose.  The Dell Championships are pat of the FedEx Cup Series in the PGA, with the top 70 golfers, including Garnett, advancing to the BMW Championships to be played this coming weekend at Aronimink Golf Course.  Garnett’s score of 274, tying him with some of the top names in golf, finished three strokes better than the 277 of Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas.
