Gallatin High School senior second baseman Ashley Feiden was named a Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association first-team all-state selection. Feiden was one of six infielders named to the team, along with Braymer High School senior Karissa Rogers and Salisbury High School sophomore Ayla King.
From state champion LaPlata, named Class 1 first-team was senior pitcher Whitney Snow. Polo senior Hanna Vaught was named a first-team pitcher. Platte Valley senior catcher Maggie Collins was a first-team selection, along with Braymer senior outfielder Lexi O’Dell.
Gallatin lost to LaPlata in the state semifinals in October, before falling to Marion C. Early in the third place game in Springfield, settling for fourth place.
Named Class 1 second-team selections were three Gallatin Lady Bulldogs, in senior pitcher AnnaBelle Ball, junior infielder Karydon Jones, and senior outfielder Alex Endicott. Other area second-teamers are Braymer pitcher Corinne Tuck, LaPlata catcher Claire Coy, Polo catcher Mya Heil, Polo infielder Kendyl Fitzwater, Meadville infielder Kinlee Fletcher, Worth County infielder Kynah Steele, LaPlata infielder Kohyn Wood, Brashear outfielder Aubrey Borgmeyer, Pattonsburg outfielder Katelyn Jones, and LaPlata outfielder Ashlynn Lewis.
Class 2 state champion Carrollton had two selections to the All-State first team, with pitcher Jenna Edwards and infielder Taylor Pierson receiving that honor. South Harrison’s Hannah Carter was a first-team pitcher, with Lawson’s Madi Cross and Plattsburg’s Sophie Schmitten named as two of four outfield selections. Two Marceline Lady Tigers were named first-team, with Emma Cathey the utility selection, and Ireland Bloss in the at-large spot.
Area players named Class 2 second-team are Lawson infielder Kamyrn Florea, Mid-Buchanan infielder Dru Pearson, North Platte infielder Lindsay Ramsey, and South Harrison freshmen infielders Ambrey Hunter and Bailey Barnett. Marceline’s Finley Watson was a Class 2 second-team outfielder.
