Gallatin’s Bird ties Cameron’s Stice for Cameron links title

Isaac Bird of Gallatin High School matched Brady Stice of Cameron High School with 18-hold scores of 79 on Wednesday, tying for the individual championship at the Cameron Invitational Golf Tournament.

Other scores of note from the event were 82 from James Mathew of Chillicothe, good for a 3rd place tie with Jacob Schmidt of Excelsior Springs, an 85 from South Harrison’s Quinn Taylor for 6th place, a 7th place round of 86 from Chillicothe’s Jackson Trout, and an 89 from Trenton’s Kiefer Tolson, good for a three-way 9th place tie with Higginsville’s Hunter McCoy and South Harrison’s Caden Littrell.  Riley Gott of Trenton finished just outside the Top 10, with a round of 90 putting him in a three-way tie for 11th place with Jack Gouge of Richmond and Griff Bonderer of Chillicothe.

Chillicothe won the team championship with a score of 353, followed by Gallatin’s 365 and third place Excelsior Springs total of 366.  Cameron was fifth place at 376, with South Harrison’s 379 good for 6th place, and Trenton’s score of 412 good for 10th place.
