Gallatin claims own golf tournament title; Trenton’s Weldon earns medalist honors

The Gallatin Lady Bulldogs, with a team score of 461, edged out Trenton’s tally of 467 to win Tuesday afternoon’s Gallatin Invitational Tournament at the Daviess County Country Club.

Trenton junior Reece Weldon, with an 18-hole score of 94, won medalist honors, one stroke better than 95’s turned in by Courtney Crose of Gallatin and Bridgette Hightshoe of Worth County.  Those three scores were the only scores under triple digits on the course.

Finishing third in the team standings was Worth County at 488, with East Buchanan finishing in fourth place at 495.  Other schools with student-athletes on the course were Penney of Hamilton, Albany, Maysville, East Buchanan, St. Joseph Christian, Stanberry, and Princeton.
