Former Seahawk, Redskin Jeron Johnson signs with Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs made a roster move on Friday, signed veteran safety Jeron Johnson, while placing cornerback Shannon Edwards on waivers. Edwards injured his shoulder during Friday’s practice at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

The Chiefs have been concerned about their depth on the back-end of the defense, with Eric Berry still not reported to camp in St. Joseph, and the team 

Johnson made the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State in 2011, and was with the team when Seattle won its first-ever Super Bowl title against the Denver Broncos.  He then signed a two-year contract with the Washington Redskins in 2015, before being released in March 2016.
