The Arizona Cardinals have lost linebacker Markus Golden to a torn ACL, placing the former Missouri Tiger on injured reserve on Monday.  Golden suffered the season-ending injury in Sunday’s win over San Francisco, after having another player crash into his right leg with 7 1/2 minutes remaining in overtime.  Larry Fitzgerald’s touchdown catch in the final minute of overtime gave the Cardinals an 18-15 win over the 49ers.

An MRI revealed the extent of Golden’s injury, sending him to the surgical table once swelling in the knee subsides.

Last season in Arizona, Golden had 12 1/2 sacks.  He had 11 tackles in nearly three games this season, but had yet to record a sack.  In his career, Golden, a second-round pick in 2015 out of Mizzou, had 16 1/2 sacks in 35 games.
