Bri Kulas, a 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri and a two-time All-SEC selection, has been added to the coaching staff of her alma mater, hired as a graduate student manager.
As a player for Head Coach Robin Pingeton, Kulas was named second-team All-SEC as a junior (2012-2013), when she averaged 13.8 points per game. A year later, as a senior, Kulas was a first-All-SEC pick by the league’s coaches (second-team by the Associated Press), averaging 18.3 points per game, good for second in the SEC.
Kulas, a native of Overland Park, Kansas, was an assistant coach at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas last season, helping the Cavaliers to a perfect 30-0 regular season record, a Jayhawk Eastern Division title, and a berth in the NJCAA Division 2, Region 6 final. Collegiately, before Mizzou, Kulas played at Kansas State University before transferring to Johnson County, where she became a NJCAA Division 2 All-American in 2011-2012.
Kulas was a 2014 draft pick of the WNBA’s San Antonio Stars, and played professionally in Spain and Germany before starting her coaching career.
