The East Harrison Bobcats got the better of the Grundy County Panthers on Tuesday night in a varsity baseball contest played at the Galt Ballpark. The final score of the HDC contest was 12-2. Blake Foster led the Panthers offense with a home run and 2 RBI’s, while Ben Busick and Lane Kenley added base hits for Grundy.
Starting pitcher Ryan Metcalf took the loss for R-5, but the Panthers did receive quality middle relief work from Andrew Garcia and Wayne Baxter, who combined for 4 2/3 innings, giving up no earned runs, four walks, and adding 11 strikeouts.
