Trenton High School junior Lathan Croy shot an 18-hole score of 13 over-par 82, tying Maryville’s Trey Oglesby in 22nd place after the first day of the Class 2 boy’s golf state tournament in Fremont Hills, Missouri.
Palmyra leads the team chase half-way through the event, with the Panthers putting up a score of 306, five better than second place Hermann. Â Bishop LeBlond, despite having two of the top three individual scores, only managed third place at 323. Â Maryville is in fifth place at 343.
Brooks Jungbluth of LeBlond has the individual lead with a two-under par score of 67. Â Jack Parker of Tolton Catholic is second at 68, with Hank Lierz of LeBlond at even-par 69, good for third place.
The top score from the immediate area, 10-over par 79, was shot by Ethan Green of the Penney (Hamilton) High School Hornets, good for a three-way tie for 16th place.
Trenton senior Nate Swann shot 84 on Monday, good for a six-way tie for 29th place. Â Trenton senior Corbyn Guile, with a first-day score of 97, is in 70th place. Â South Harrison High School’s Grant Taylor shot 104 on Monday. Â
