The Kansas State University Athletic Department has announced that a total of eight student-athletes have tested positive for active COVID-19 following testing of approximately 130 student-athletes through June 17th.

The news of eight positive cases came just 24 hours after the Manhattan school announced two positive cases.

Athletic Director Gene Taylor did not specify what sports the athletes participate in, but only Wildcat football players have been permitted to be in town and on-campus until July 1st, when other fall athletes at KSU are permitted to return.

Each positive case will follow the road to recovery through state, local, national, and CDC guidelines, meaning self-isolation for 10 days, and not returning to the practice field until no signs of fever for at least 72 hours, without medication.
