The District 13 champion Southwest Lady Wildcats and Braymer Bobcats combined to place five players on the All-District 13 teams, announced on Thursday, with Southwest putting three and Braymer two players on the squad. Winston, the #1 ranked team in the state, upset in the District 13 title game by Braymer, has three players named to the team.
From Southwest Livingston, Kaylie Campbell, Kortlyn Rounkles, and Ona Furst made the girls team, joined by Paige Smith, Karson Werle, and Madi Fulte of runner-up Orrick; Addie Paul and Lacey Logsdon of Hardin-Central; Jasmine Taylor of Braymer and Rebecca Finley of Wentworth Military Academy.
Joining Austin Hall and Jordan Miller of Braymer High School on the boys team are Craig Lewis, Jacob Lewis, and Griffen Harris of Winston; Ryan Layman and Zach Pearon of Hardin-Central; Seth McAfee of Orrick; and Mack Anderson and Brady Bothwell of Southwest Livingston.
Southwest, by winning the District 13 title, advanced to the Class 1 sectional round, where the Lady Wildcats were beaten by Mercer on Tuesday, February 28th at the St. Joseph Civic Arena. Braymer was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs on the same night by Worth County.
