In danger of suffering a pair of losses to MINK League North rival Clarinda, the Chillicothe Mudcats rallied for 10th inning run on Wednesday night, and a 7-6 win at Clarinda. The A’s tied the game in the bottom of the ninth prior to the Mudcats rally.
On Tuesday night, Chillicothe hosted Clarinda, with the Mudcats falling behind early, as two runs in the 1st and four in the 3rd gave the A’s a 6-1 lead. The Mudcats managed to scrape across a pair of runs in the middle innings, but fell by a final score of 6-3. Dalton Schumer drove in an 8th inning run, with John Remick’s double driving in an earlier tally for Chillicothe.
Chillicothe will be off on Thursday, then begin a five-game homestand, taking on Sedalia on Friday night (7:05), Ozark in a Saturday doubleheader (6:05), Ozark in a Sunday single game (4:05), and Clarinda on Monday night (7:05).
