St. Louis native, 37-year old Tim Rulo, will be the first non-Chillicothe High School graduate to lead the Hornets football program since 1962.  Rulo was introduced as the new Chillicothe football coach on Saturday night in the CHS commons.

With the Hornets, Rulo will succeed the retiring Phil Willard, who took the reins of the program nearly two decades ago from legendary Head Coach Bob Fairchild.  Rulo heads north with an impressive resume that includes a state Class 2 runner-up finish with South Callaway High School, including a 14-1 record, in 2014.

Over the past three seasons, Rulo has guided Jefferson City Helias before being removed from that post earlier this year.

On Saturday night, Rulo was introduced to local media in Chillicothe by CHS Athletic Director Dan Nagel and Principal Brian Sherrow, a prominent member of the Chillicothe Search Committee.
