The Kansas City Chiefs have given tight end Travis Kelce a significant raise with a new two-year contract worth $34.25 million. The deal includes $17 million fully guaranteed for this season and most of the rest to be guaranteed by the third day of the NFL league year in 2025.
General Manager Brett Veach praised Kelce, saying he’s a priority for the team and a key player in their success. Kelce, who has been selected to nine consecutive Pro Bowls and is a four-time first-team All-Pro, expressed his excitement for the new contract, saying it’s an honor and a pleasure to continue playing for the Chiefs.
Kelce has 907 receptions for 11,328 yards and 74 touchdowns in 11 NFL seasons, and holds the NFL record for most receptions in postseason history with 165 catches. He has also become a crossover star, appearing on shows like Saturday Night Live and hosting a popular podcast with his brother Jason.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes congratulated his favorite target on social media, with Kelce’s new team solidifying the remainder of his career in Kansas City, in addition to being one of the highest-paid tight ends in the league.
