The Carrollton Lady Trojans took a tight first set win over the visiting Trenton Bulldogs on Thursday night, then had a easier time of things in the second, defeating THS by scores of 25-22, 25-11, dropping the Lady Bulldogs record to 1-5.
Trenton, now with a break in the schedule until the Kirksville Lady Tigers visit THS on Thursday, September 8th, were led by four kills and two digs from Laura Carlson; three assists and one ace from Shawna Coplen; two kills for Saedee Jackson; three kills and an ace for Karli Provorse; four assists and two digs from Melea Farmer, and an ace and a kill for Brittany Wilson.
Trenton finished a busy streak of games this week with a 1-2 mark, beating Penney on Monday night before being swept by the Plattsburg Lady Tigers on Tuesday.
