The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs have announced that tonight (Friday night’s) scheduled game at Busch Stadium has been postponed after another Cardinals player tested positive for COVID-19.
MLB said the game was postponed to allow more time for additional test and the completion of the contact tracing process. St. Louis has been played a game over the past week, with a outbreak of the virus that has hit All-Star catcher Yadier Molina and infielder Paul DeJong, among others.
The St. Louis team was quarantined in a Milwaukee hotel last weekend, traveling back to St. Louis on Tuesday night after two straight days of negative tests.
