Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was on in attendance for the start of training camp on Tuesday. NFL.com reported Ian Rapaport confirmed that Burrow, the third-year pro out of LSU, is undergoing surgery to have his appendix removed.
The recovery process for the procedure is 2 for 4 weeks, described as time needed before the person can resume ‘normal’ activities.
Burrow led the Bengals to a surprising Super Bowl berth last year, including an upset win of the two-time AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in the conference championship season. In completing 70.4% of his passes in a breakout regular season, Burrow hit for 4,600 yards and 34 touchdowns.
