Bulldogs finish fourth, McAtee takes 113 pound crown, at Chillicothe Tournament

Mid-Buchanan ran away with the Chillicothe Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.  Mid-Buch had five individual champions and rolled up 275 1/2 points to finish 109 points ahead of second place Gallatin.

Gallatin had 166 1/2 points, third place Chillicothe 157, and fourth-place Trenton 121.  That four-some was followed by Savannah, Southern Boone, Boonville, Marshall, Benton, Hallsville, Mid-Buchanan JV, Macon, Chillicothe JV, Tolton Catholic, and additional JV entries.

First-place finishers from the immediate area were Hunter McAtee of Trenton at 113 pounds, Sheldon Radar of Chillicothe at 120, and three Gallatin wrestlers — Andon Allen at 138, Rodell Sperry at 152, and Gabe Parker at heavyweight.

Among other THS results, Coleman Griffin at 152 pounds and Caleb Johnson at 220 both finished second.  Coming in third for Trenton were Brice Gibler at 138 pounds and Sam Gibson at 182.

Chillicothe had a third place finish from Lane McCoy at 106 and Wade Horton at 220.

The Trenton girls had three entries in the Chillicothe Tournament, with Allison Yoder finishing runner-up at 159 pounds, with a 2-1 mark.  Mercy Schweizer was 0-3 at 117 pounds and Makayla Hamilton 1-1 at 195 pounds.

The Trenton Kids Wrestling Club participated in the Warsaw Tournament on Sunday, with Ayden Ortega taking first-place honors in the 10 and under, 65 pound weight class.  Runner-up finishes were earned by Clayton Glidewell, Kynsen Bain, Owen Lowe, Jackson Black, Jayla Bell, Brayden Bell, and Jacob Black.

Kash Barlow finished third, with Wesley Stiles and Braylee Barron fourth place.
