Cameron, MO (Dave Counsell) – The Trenton High School boys wrestling team lost all five of its duals in a tournament hosted at Cameron High School on Saturday.

Trenton lost 51-18 to Savannah, 66-15 to Tolton Catholic, 51-29 to Chillicothe, 63-15 to Cameron, and 77-3 to Odessa.  There were several forfeits.

Top records for THS included Jacob White 4-0 at 113 pounds.  White had a 14-0 major decision, 16-11 decision, an 8-5 sudden victory, and a forfeit win.

Remi Olmstead was 3-0 at 144 pounds with a pair of pins and a 17-13 decision.

Mason Rongey went 2-1 at 138 pounds, with victories by pin and a 1-0 decision.

Logan Wilson was 2-1 at 190 pounds including a 21-6 technical fall and a forfeit victory.

All five of the schools Trenton faces are in Class 2 in the Missouri State High School Activities Association divisions. Trenton is in Class 1.

THS coach Charlie Bacon confirmed that the Bulldogs faced some really stiff Class 2 competition and gained lots of valuable experience.

Marceline High School was the only other Class 1 school in the dual style tournament at Cameron.  Trenton joined the event after the previously planned trip to Marshall for a tournament on Saturday was canceled by the adverse wintry weather conditions from earlier in the week.   Trenton and Marceline did not face each other.  The Tigers were 1-4, with the only victory a 51-30 triumph over Chillicothe.

Chillicothe went 1-4 with the Hornets only victory by a 51-29 margin over Trenton.
