Trenton High School’s girls tennis team made it two victories in a row on Thursday night, routing the visiting Cameron Dragons at the THS courts, 9 matches to zero.
Of the victories earned by the Trenton netters, four in singles play and two in doubles play came by way of 8-love shutouts. At #1 singles, Emma Gilham beat Madison Thogmartin, at #4 singles Latorrie Johnson downed Mattison Burton, with Lexi Gott over Maren Williams at #5 singles and Morgan Dolan downing Abigail Hall at #6 singles. Trenton’s Elle Neal, playing at #2 singles, was an 8-3 winner over Breanna Bontrager, while #3 singles player Kendall Crowley grabbed an 8-1 win at #3 singles over Mackenzie Williams 8-1.
In doubles play, Trenton’s Neal and Johnson (#2) beat Williams and Burton 8-1, while Gilham and Gott (#1) and Crowley and Dolan (#3) took 8-love wins over Thogmartin and Bontrager and Williams and Hall, respectively.
Trenton’s JV, in six doubles matches played against Cameron, won five of those. Results were:
