The Trenton Bulldogs traveled to Brookfield High School on Friday night for a wrestling battle with one of the top Class 1 programs in the state. While Trenton coach Charlie Bacon he was pleased with how his team wrestled and battled, Brookfield emerged victorious 42-21.
Trenton’s individual triumphs on the evening came from Jacob White by pin at 106 pounds over Michael Shepherd, Mason Rongey by 5-2 decision over Cole Weaver at 138, and Gavin Cagle at heavyweight by pin over Jackson Wattenbarger. At 175 pounds, Logan Wilson had a forfeit victory for THS.
For Brookfield, Xaiver Sada grabbed an 8-7 decision over Cooper Houser at 120 pounds, with Ryder Techau pinning Jaylen Barnes at 126. At 132, Peyton Parn had a 12-5 decision over Brayden Hughs, with Kameron Perry pinning Walter Olmstead at 144, while Bridger Grimshaw pinned Henry Hasley at 150. Devan Parn had a pin over Jackson Bethards at 190, with Ekene Chukwu pinning Barrett Clark at 215.
There were double forfeits at 113 and 165 pounds.
