The Braymer Lady Bobcats won their district opener on Monday night, taking care of Breckenridge in a 76-17 final score from Orrick High School.  In the District 13 semifinals, on Wednesday night at 6, Braymer will challenge the host and #1 seed Orrick Lady Bearcats, who won by forfeit over Winston on Monday night.  Due to lack of players due to late-season injuries (Winston was down to four), the Lady Redbirds were forced to forfeit. Orrick’s season record is 21-4 while Braymer improves to 11-14.

The Southwest Livingston Lady Wildcats appear to be getting back into stride, cruising to a 69-24 victory over Wentworth Military Academy on Monday night.  In Wednesday night’s 7:30 girls semifinal, Southwest will take on Hardin-Central in an all-CLAA battle.  The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Tri-County Lady Mustangs 57-15.  The Lady Wildcats/Lady Bulldogs battle will feature Southwest’s athleticism and speed against Hardin-Central’s interior size and strength.

The boys quarterfinals in Class 1, District 13 will be tonight (Tuesday night), with #1 ranked and seeded Winston playing Breckenridge at 4:30, followed by Southwest Livingston and Orrick playing in the “4 vs 5” game at 5:45.  The 2nd-seeded Braymer Bobcats play Tri-County at 7 o’clock this evening, with the Hardin-Central Bulldogs playing the Wentworth Military Academy Red Dragons at 8:15, all from the Orrick High School gymnasium.
